Peggy Sue Graham Cope, 75 gained her heavenly home on October 31, 2020 at her home in Henryetta, surrounded by her loving family. Peggy was born on October 6, 1945 in Amarillo, TX, the second of five children to Raymond Milford and Ruby Jane (Creekbaum) Graham. Her childhood was spent growing up in several cities and states while her dad provided a living for the family. They moved to Dustin in 1957, where she attended school, graduating in 1966. There she met the love of her life Phillip Cope, and was married on July 12 1963. To this union were born two children, Susan Kay, and James Michael. Phillip and Peggy owned and operated a farm in Dustin, raising several crops, cattle, and vegetables, until they retired and sold the farm in 2004. Peggy enjoyed working alongside Phillip on the farm where she was multi talented, as in the home. She was as comfortable in a tractor seat, working cattle, or managing the books. She was happy keeping house,and she loved cooking for her family. Other hobbies included reading her bible, needle art, quilting, canning all the garden goodies, especially jellies. She also loved fishing,and caring for her laying hens. In 1977 she attended the Bryan Institute for dental Chair side Assistants.For several years she worked for Dr Gerety in Henryetta, until she was needed to attend the farm with Phillip. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson in law: Jesse Daniels Peggy is survived by Phillip of the home, Daughter Susan and husband Pete of Henryetta. James and wife Adwinna of Vilonia Arkansas. Grandchildren: Phillip Hill and wife Rachel; Kristin Benell and husband Curtis; Tiffany JoAnn Williams and husband Bobby; Justin Michael Cope and wife Kaitlyn. Siblings: Alene Hanson of Athens, TX, Nelda Durham of Holdenville, Ramona Enderli of Mont Belvieu, TX and Lanis Ray Graham of Henryetta. Family will be greeting friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 4:00 -6:00. Due to COVID guidelines the family request that if you feel like you want to wear a mask please do so, also no cell phones, or pictures at the funeral home or the service. Funeral will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at the Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Wolf, officiating. Interment will follow at the Dustin Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home. The family would especially love to honor Grace Hospice which so compasionatly blessed her and our family. The family is requesting memorial to be made to Grace Hospice of Tulsa (6218 S Lewis Ave, Tulsa, OK 74136).
