Marcus Ed Hall

Marcus Edward "ED" Hall, 91, of Henryetta, Oklahoma passed away thursday, May 19,2011 at Hospice of Wichita Falls following a short illness. Ed was born on September 24,1919 in Colleyville, Texas to the late William Houston and Alice (Turner) Hall. Following his childhood near Paducah, Texas he moved to Henryetta Oklahoma where he met and married Ruby E. Coody on August 16,1940. In 1947, they were blessed with their only son, Marcus Edward Hall II. He moved to Burkburnett in 2008 to be closer to his family. Ed worked in the metal business at Eagle Pitcher Smelters for 27 years and then for John Zinc Co of Tulsa as a drill press operator. Following Ruby's death in 1981 he later married Opal (Emberson) Hall in Henryetta,Oklahoma. Ed enjoyed fishing, hunting, all sports, cards and dominoes. He was a member of Church of Christ in Henryetta Oklahoma for 73 years, where Amazing Grace was his favorite song. Lake Eufala was his "Heaven on Earth". He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Hall; sisters Audrey Timmons and Zena Shipman. Brothers Johnny Curd, Travis Curd and Billy Ray Hall. Survivors include his son, Marcus E. Hall II of Burkburnett, Tx; brother Houston L. Hall and wife Charlotte of Blackwell Oklahoma, sister Juanell Mims of Nocona, Texas; Grandaughters Sandy and husband Rick Beechler of Petrolia Texas, Marcia and husband David Lopez of Wichita Falls, Tx; Vickie and husband Scott Mcintyre of Wichita Falls, Tx; Nickie and husband Will Riley of Burkburnett, Tx; Nine Great Grand children, Tyler Beechler,Devek Lopez,Coby Lopez,Laston Lopez,Kelby McIntyre,Kitsen Norris,Asher McIntyre,Callie Riley and Cooper Riley. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 23,2011 at the Church of Christ of Henryetta Oklahoma with Wendall Key Officiating. Burial will follow at Okmulgee Cementery Park in Okmulgee Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home of Henryetta Oklahoma.
