Dixie Thomas

Dixie Thomas a resident of the Salem Community passed this life on January 24, 2021 at the age of 86. Born December 17, 1934 in Henryetta to Charlie and Blanche (Morgan) Kaler. She married Billy Joe Thomas on January 12, 1952 and devoted herself to him and her family. Billy Joe and Dixie are longtime faithful member of the Salem Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Dorothy, Brothers Leroy and Charlie and Sisters Evalorene, Nadine, Juanita and Julia Survived by her husband Billy Joe of the home Children: Larry Joe Thomas and wife Sandra of Liberty Mounds,Ok Ricky Thomas and wife Shirley of Henryetta Michael Thomas and wife Debbie of Henryetta Michelle Thomas Vaughn of Glen Pool, OK Grandchildren: Trina Evans, Lonnie Thomas, Angel Barker, Casey Thomas, Michael Thomas II, Joshua Thomas, Blake Vaughn and Conner Vaughn Great Grandchildren: Chayce, Kayden, Arya, Kya, Katana, Asheron, Skyler, Cheyanne, Addison, Caylor, Gavin, Weston, Austin, McKenna, Cason, Mallie, Maddox, Remi, Dally and Gabriel. Sisters: Christian Dodson of Tulsa,; Janie Conner of Fairland, Ok and Betty Halford of Colinsville,OK. Brother: Winston Kaler of Henryetta Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 28, 2021, at the Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Wolf, officiating. Interment will be at the Salem Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
