Melba Snider, a current resident of Edmond, Ok and longtime resident of Okmulgee County passed this life on January 30, 2023 in Edmond, OK. Se was born February 12, 1934 in the Wilson Community to Dallas Clint and Bertha Lee (Tidwell) Bicknell. Preceded in death by Her childhood sweetheart and husband of sixty-one years – Donald Dwight Snider Her parents – Dallas Clint Bicknell and Bertha Lee Tidwell Bicknell Her four sisters – Virginia Matthews, Mildred Burgess, Delores Chance, and Sue Dean Her parents-in-law – Wilbur Clyde Snider and Ella C. Collins Snider Her husband’s two sisters – Laudra Powders and Audra Ross Her husband’s three brothers – Prentiss Snider, Gene Snider, and EJ Snider Survived by: Her daughter – Dawni Delene Brison and her husband, Ronnie Her son – Donald Dwight Snider II also known as Mick and his wife, Teresa Her two grandsons – Ronnie Wayne Brison II and his wife, Amber Jared Brandon Snider and his wife, Lindsey Her four great-grandsons – Jentry Brison, James Brison, Jeron Brison, and Jackson Snider Her great-granddaughter – Brooklyn Snider Her sister, Kerry Dawn Lierly and her husband, Joe Bill Her numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends Following the funeral service, she will be laid to rest in Westlawn Cemetery next to her husband, awaiting the return of our Lord Jesus Christ in hope of the resurrection. Pallbearers are Joe Bill Lierly, Ronnie Wayne Brison II, Jentry Brison, James Brison, Jeron Brison, Jackson Snider, and Jared Snider Honorary pallbearers are her nephews. Melba and Dwight were faithful followers of Jesus Christ and, for many years, were part of the Henryetta Church of the Nazarene Family. She was a homemaker a housekeeper, worked in the public school system, and invested her life in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other young lives by depositing godly character, righteous influence, and Biblical principles into them. Melba helped Dwight in his pursuit of his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Trade and Industrial Education. She demonstrated the grace of giving by living a sacrificial life to benefit others. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, February 3, 2023 at the Nazarene Church. Interment will follow at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
